May 6-10 is Children's Mental Health Week. We encourage everyone to "Shine Green" on Friday, May 10 to raise awareness & support. We invite all DDSB students, families and staff to wear green, the colour representing mental health, to raise awareness about mental health.

Fun Friday: Sometimes when things are tough it is also important to focus on the things that being us joy as a way to refocus our minds and help prepare us to cope when things get tough. #FunFriday

Today we celebrate mothers, step mothers, grandmothers, surrogate moms and those who take on the role of mom in our lives. We remember those still with us, and those we have lost. Happy Mother's Day to all of them - thank you for your love!

Today, while celebrating the Freedom to Love, we also draw attention to the unacceptable violence and discrimination faced by 2SLGBTQI people.

The Durham Region Heritage Fair is an event to increase awareness & interest in Canadian history. DDSB students have an opportunity to explore aspects of their Canadian heritage & present their work in a public exhibition. Projects to be adjudicated by staff & community members.

What a day we had at the Regional Track & Field Meet yesterday!! S. broke a 30 year record (wow!!) and we came in 9th out 110 schools with no intermediates points or high jumpers!!! Congratulations to all of our incredibly talented and disciplined athletes!@ddsbschools #champions
