Belhaven is the perfect place for a run for all levels! Not only can you run through the neighborhood and enjoy all our historic homes, you can also run the Belhaven Mountain Biking Trails or the Museum Trail.

The Belhaven Mountain Bike Trail can be accessed from the Museum Trail. The GBF granted the Mountain Bike Trail a memorandum in January 2021, allowing for continued construction and maintenance of the trail system.

The Eudora Welty House was the home of author Eudora Welty from 1925 until her death in 2001. Welty wrote almost all of her fiction and essays in her Belhaven home. Plan your visit today by visiting their website at welty.mdah.ms.gov

Our Belhaven neighborhood is filled with history. Belhaven hosts more than 1,300 historic structures dating from as early as 1904, making our neighborhood Mississippi’s largest historic district. One of our notable historic buildings is the Fairview Inn. Fairview Inn

Belhaven’s Oaks House was home to one of the earliest mayors of Jackson. The home depicts the life of a middle-class family in mid-19th century Jackson. To visit the Oaks House, set up an appointment by emailing [email protected].

If you’re curious about what we do at the GBF, we work for our residents every day, striving to connect residents and businesses to foster a vibrant, historic community. You will soon begin to see markers indicating projects the GBF has facilitated thanks to your CID support.
