I've just been pointed to the idea of UK "Quiet Lanes", which have a sign a bit like Home Zones. Here's some in Suffolk - quietlanessuffolk.co.uk/what-is-a-quie… . But the first one I check on OSM has a 60mph speed limit!? Is that common? Sounds unsuitable for walking and cycling, really.
