It seems that Daniel Pomarède spends his summer break on Mars, but he sends really great pics of his trip around! 😁 Based on everything I have seen so far, I think, the landscape is not too different from ours here. Will we set foot on Mars and when?

This is a highly interesting study! 🧐 The amplitude of the dipole is not as high as in the papers by Singal, Secrest, Schwarz et al.. curious to follow-up on why this turns out to be the case! (deeper survey, different sampling on the sky, etc..) #cosmology

#OnThisDay in 1977, NASA launched the Voyager 1 probe on its journey to study the outer solar system. After 46 years of operation, the probe is still transmitting data, and at over 15.2 billion miles, is the most distant man-made object from Earth. #SpaceExploration

This is an interesting superposition of two orthogonal states with exactly the same outcome if measured afterwards. (And totally fitting to my day today. Tomorrow will be "do it and be happy", doing some science again, finally!)

Happy #StarTrekDay! 🖖 What's more fitting to go to the 100th anniversary of the Einstein Tower. Impressive building (with original furniture) and also amazing to visit the "Great Refractor" in the observatory from 1899 nearby. #scicomm #Einstein

That's quite an interesting discovery on the extent of Lyman alpha emitters here! We had one close to Hamilton's Object most likely causing some controversy over redshift determinations of the lensed galaxy and the LAE itself! (doi.org/10.1093/mnras/…)

For all German speakers who missed my talk about pushing cosmology to its limits: youtu.be/8ew8-28wmjM?si… Thanks again to Konstantin Haubner 🌌🌍🌌 for being such a great host and being there live is always better, as the discussion was much longer than what's on the video... #scicomm

Wow, I am amazed! Over 1800 views in less than two days! Thank you all!! And for those who haven't seen it yet: youtu.be/8ew8-28wmjM?si…

I am thrilled to announce the release of the GLoW (Gravitational Lensing of Waves) code, designed to generate lensed graviatational wave signals. Work led by H. Villarrubia Rojo (MPI GravPhys, Facultad Físicas UCM) arxiv.org/abs/2409.04606 some highlights in 🧵

Hope you all have a slothy start into #Monday! There's no bettter excuse for staying wrapped in a warm blanket and drinking tea than this cold and rainy weather today.

Had a great day at Albert Einstein Institute (Max Planck Society) today! Thanks Miguel Zumalacarregui for hosting me so kindly, I learnt a lot about wave optics and I look forward to more interactions as strong lenses all share the same formalism after all. 🤩 #gravitationallensing

New day, new institute! Thanks a lot to Noam Libeskind for the inspiring chat at AIP yesterday! I very much enjoyed to see a small version of Hubble. It's still an amazing telescope giving me a lot of valuable data for my research, maybe also for this project.
