A year 7 student is reading Loki A Bad God's Guide to Being Good and on page 195 he has come across the word 'exoperienced'. He is asking if it is a printing mistake or a made-up word. Can you help us @louiestowell? He loves the book by the way.

This was the returns pile from periods 1 and 2 on Monday morning but we've been so busy we're only posting now. There are some old favourites alongside the Roy of The Rovers graphic novels which are extremely popular right now. #boyswhoread #schoollibrary

We learnt last week that Edward Stead, former GGS Head of English & Theatre Studies had passed away. A hugely popular teacher and member of staff who will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with this family and friends at this sad time.

Students hard at work while on this year’s GGS Nautical Explorer voyage. They have learnt how to tie knots, hoist sails, steer a yacht, cook meals for 20 people and more! The weather has been absolutely amazing and all having a great time.

Cadets from our CCF (RN) unit once again represented the school at the annual Fly a Flag event, ahead of Armed Forces Day. The cadets conducted themselves perfectly despite the heat and then chatted to some veterans and local dignitaries including the Mayor of Gravesham.

The final CCF session of the year saw us using the school's fire pit for the first time. Cadets made small fires in Kelly Kettles to heat water and then cooked pizza wraps and smores on the fire pit.
