Tyrone Dlisle Australian Greens True. The anti-nuclear ideology even dates back to 1981, when Bob Brown was advocating building coal plants. It was a grave mistake to prioritise not having nuclear power ahead of decarbonisation.

Every Australian needs to vote against taxing unrealised gains. It’s an unfair illogical tax the Australian Labor Anthony Albanese Jim Chalmers MP desperately want. They don’t understand the significant unintended consequences of taxing profits before they are made. We estimate the negative

With Labor+Greens having Senate control the 30% tax on super fund earnings with balances >$3m will likely become law. Unless the threshold is indexed my colleague Diana Mousina has calculated a new workforce entrant will probably have to pay the tax before they retire.

Ex Labor prime minister Paul Keating has labelled both the principle of taxing unrealised gains and the failure to index the $3m threshold as “unconscionable”. Others call it illogical, bad, dumb, mad, crazy, stupid, wrong, own goal. What do you call it? afr.com/politics/feder…
