Harriet from the entertainer providers visited The Grange Retirement Home and did a spectacular performance for our residents. She sang and danced to rock and roll songs from the 50s and 60s. The residents thoroughly enjoyed watching the performance! #CareHomeActivities

The residents participated in a range of Easter craft activities this month including making Easter bunting for the home and painting polystyrene eggs. These activities were fun and therapeutic which everyone seemed to enjoy. #Easter2023 #carehomeactivities

Everyone was given an Easter treat from The Grange Retirement Home to celebrate Easter, this made everyone smile. We also set up an Easter raffle for all the residents. A range of prizes were available to be won, some of which were kindly donated. #Easter2023

Several of the residents participated in the Easter bonnet-making contest, the residents used a variety of different media to create their Easter bonnets. The final products looked incredible; it was so lovely to see the different styles of hats the residents created. #Easter2023

The residents enjoyed an incredible performance by Steve Robbings, who sang a range of different songs. He got everyone singing and a couple of residents even got up for a dance! #carehome #carehomeactivities

For Global Wind Day the residents made pinwheels with the help of staff. Everyone chooses a different, bright, summery colour for their pinwheel. The residents enjoyed playing with them once they were made and watching them blow in the wind. #carehomactivities

To celebrate the 100 years of Disney we had a wonderful performance by Eleanor, who sang a range of Disney songs for our residents. In the afternoon the residents then baked some chocolate chip cookies. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their day celebrating Disney's 100 years.

A group of our residents spent their day at Bushy Park. They had a look around the park, seeing all the wonderful plants and animals. Everyone really enjoyed their day, and we were very lucky to have beautiful weather while we were visiting the park. #carehomeactivities

Marian had a wonderful 90th birthday surrounded by staff, other residents and her family. She was showered with presents and love. She really enjoyed her day and was very overcome when everyone sang Happy Birthday to her. #happybirthday

A group of residents went on a day trip to Garson’s Garden Centre. It was a lovely morning out and they all enjoyed themselves. They liked looking around at all the different things and we stopped at the café for a refreshment. #carehomeactivities

The residents were welcomed by pet therapy and all the wonderful animals. It brought so much joy and happiness to the residents seeing the animals. They got to have cuddles with the kittens, pet the guinea pig and play with the puppy.

Anne was visited by her family on her birthday, which made her very happy. She was delighted with the cake that the staff presented to her. Happy Birthday, Anne!

Some of the residents worked together to make some tasty shortbread. They combined all the ingredients and cut the dough into shapes. They turned out great and tasted even better.

The Grange was once again visited by Mortimer Alpacas, which provided an incredible experience for everyone. The two alpacas walked around the home, allowing the residents to feed and pet them. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the interaction!

The London Children Ballet came to perform for the residents. They presented dances inspired by the film The Secret Garden. It was an amazing show that brought smiles to the residents’ faces. The children danced with great professionalism and delivered an incredible performance.

The residents enjoyed another performance by the talented Jess, who sang songs from around the world. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and sang along with her.

To celebrate World Recycling Day, the residents created pictures using recycled materials. The outcomes were impressive, and everyone was pleased with the final products. #carehomeactivities

A group of our residents went on an outing to Mercedes-Benz World. They got to see some classic Mercedes cars as well as some Formula 1 cars. They had a lovely outing and enjoyed themselves very much. #CareHomeActivities
