Lots of exciting discoveries at #ForestSchool this afternoon, fabulous fungi, delicious plums, and a fascinating toad!! Pupils decided he needed his own space, so a toad territory was created! We love exploring our garden

From tree to pot in 24 hours! Pupils from P4-7 worked together to turn our plum harvest from yesterday into delicious plum jam! We will share this at our end of term showcase later in September

Thank you to Hamish for coming in and helping the children make a mini pond area in our garden. We can’t wait to see what wildlife visits this new area! #ourgarden #wildlife

What an exciting morning with Anthony Butterfly Conservation 🦋 opening the moth trap that we put out yesterday to discover what moths we share our garden with. They were all superb, but our particular favourite has to be the canary-shouldered thorn moth!

P4-7 set up an experiment to see which bird food would be the most popular. We also tried a new "birds eye view" camera angle. We thought the mealworms would go first, but the sunflower seeds were the most popular, then the big pigeons ate everything!! #RSPB BrowningTrailCameras

This morning we discovered this little caterpillar in the playground. We popped it over near the trees and then decided to explore its life cycle. We think we have identified it as a Grey Dagger moth and hope to see it when it emerges next year. Butterfly Conservation 🦋

Learning Showcase time! We love to share our learning with our families. This term has been all about our garden, classifying the animals that we share our space with, harvesting our fruit and making delicious plum jam.
