Religion through its holiness and legislation...seek to exempt themselves from [reason]. But...they excite a just suspicion against themselves, and cannot lay claim to...unfeigned respect that reason grants only to that...able to withstand its free and public examination. IK

To tell an employee just before a holiday or time off they are not performing as expected and their role is in jeopardy, is some kind of sadistic leaning on the part of a manager. Holiday ruined. Never work for others if you can avoid it.

Gold holds a unique place among humanity and been a source of value since it was first mined in days of King Croesus in Lydia in 550 BCE. Past civilisations associated gold with qualities like immortality and enlightenment, today we still treat it as a symbol of perfection.

At the edge of an abyss I sit with a lantern that has been mine, one I kept shining with knowledge. As I prepare myself to enter an abyss, I know the lantern can’t travel with me and does not shine there. Knowing this my hope is to hand my lantern to the next keeper of the light.

But what if this belief is becoming more and more unbelievable, if nothing turns out to be divine any longer unless it be error, blindness, lies- if God himself turns out to be our longest lie? FN.

The undetermined object of an empirical intuition is called an appearance…the matter of all appearance is only given to us a posteriori, but its form must all lie ready for it in the mind a priori…IK.
