Redshank feeding around the edge of the tern island at lodmoor yesterday, plus a couple of the Blackheaded Gull chicks.

Missed the Arctic Tern at Lodmoor this morning so here's the last one I got November 2022. This one nearly hit me, both shots filled the frame.

Dull overcast day with challenging light but the Spotted Sandpiper, at Chew Valley Lakes made my day. A first for me so well happy.

Lodmoor is very quiet at present so this solo Sandwich Tern was a welcome surprise yesterday morning.

Whilst waiting for the Spotted sandpiper on Wednesday morning (see earlier post) this pair of Egyptian Geese plus their goslings showed well.

Ringed Plover with a large ragworm (I think) at Ferrybridge earlier this week.

Lodmoor still quiet birdwise, but a full frame Little Egret and this Blackheaded Gull chick, going ashore after a swim, were worth a shot this week.

This Dunlin at Ferrybridge on Friday morning is a bit late getting its summer plumage.

Spent an hour or two watching this Spotted Flycatcher at Morden Bog yesterday morning. Eventually it sat up nicely only a few yards away.
