Greeshma and Dr Manju Priya K's film punctures the progressive veneer of Tamil Nadu and its politics. A timely intervention. We are screening this in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. I hope it screens far and wide in Tamil Nadu in the coming months.

Neeraj Ghaywan's #Homebound is fantastic. Works as a portrait of India as it exists today. Review: maktoobmedia.com/opinion/homebo…

"While anti-caste cinema has thrived in many industries like Tamil and Marathi in the last decade, Neeraj Ghaywan’s Homebound stands as a temporal testament to the state of a nation." Do not miss Homebound in the theatres. Review: maktoobmedia.com/opinion/homebo…

Hilarious to see everyone worried about PTA's box office prospects. We are truly in terrible times when it comes to talking cinema.

Context: these IMAX screen shots are taken by the projectionist. If you're an audience member, please refrain from taking pics during the movie. Put the phone away. Don't be a prick.

Good start. Madras needs more film societies esp those that are democratic, open to public/not invite only and more importantly spotlight Indian independent cinema. At Bhubaneswar we have screened Tamil films that are yet to premiere in Tamil Nadu. That has to change.

I still stand by this after One Battle after Another but haven't enjoyed a DiCaprio performance this much since Wolf of Wall Street. Totally keyed in.

Missed sharing this because it's that forgettable. Netflix India's new (first?) Tamil series is all kinds of terrible. Review, ottplay.com/features/the-g…
