Great comfort in knowing life is long and there is plenty of time. Great urgency to use as much of it as I can to bring my visions to life.

For me this has meant working for/with someone who trusts your skill, and encourages your ambition. I always want to feel that. And when I don’t, I leave.

The most fun space to operate in as a creative is the "I don’t fully know what I’m doing, but I think I have the taste to know how to make this work" You get all the curiosity and play without any of the self-judgement to resist or slow down

Trying to frame waiting for baby as ‘bonus time’ but it mostly feels like the tortuous excitement of waiting for Christmas/your birthday/summer vacation as a kid.

The best thing about being a designer is that your career can look however you want it to. That’s scary for some - but for many including me, it’s the most freeing thing in the world.
