This is a really excellent article from Dr. Rosaleen McDonagh. As always, she shares her wisdom and insights generously and openly with such eloquence and clarity. I would highly recommend that people take the time to read this piece before polling day this Friday. jrnl.ie/6311076t

I really enjoyed listening to L E E S A on the first episode of #LastOneOnTheTrain tonight. She’s such an amazing disability activist and a credit to our community. I’d highly recommend giving it a listen over the next couple of days - I could have listened to her all night!

This is really great news, but it’s caused a lot of stress for many disabled people since it was originally proposed by Government. Well done and solidarity always to all of the amazing activists who have been working tirelessly over the last few months to #ScrapTheGreenPaper.

I’ve really enjoyed listening to #LastOneOnTheTrain over the past few weeks. It’s been an absolute joy to hear the voices of disabled people articulating their lived experiences, both good and bad, in a range of areas. Congratulations to susan dennehy #LastOneOnTheTrain and all of the participants!

Well done and a huge congratulations to Emma and Latisha on the release of the first episode of their new podcast. I really enjoyed it and I highly recommend that people give it a listen. I’m very much looking forward to hearing the rest of the series over the coming weeks!

Well done to Niamh on this great article. I’m so grateful for the amazing disabled people whom I’ve met over the years. #DisabilityPrideMonth allows us to celebrate who we are and the joy that exists in our community, whilst also acknowledging the challenges that we face daily.

My deepest sympathies to Leigh’s family and friends at this very difficult time. I was very struck by her kindness and willingness to share her wisdom with younger disabled people like me when I’d the pleasure of meeting her a few years ago. Suaimhneas síoraí dá hanam uasal.

Well done to Emma on this excellent article. Every time that I read her work, I’m always struck by the importance of disabled journalists writing authentically about disabled people’s lives. I really can’t wait to read lots more fabulous articles from her over the coming months!

This ad is deeply concerning. It reinforces a definition of independence that focuses on people doing everything by themselves instead of showing how we need support, through full P.A. services and other means, to enable us to live happy and productive lives of our own choosing.

Well done and congratulations to Dr Aoife Price and the team on this important piece of work. I hope that it marks the beginning of implementing vital changes to ensure that disabled women who are experiencing domestic violence are adequately supported. thejournal.ie/womens-aid-rep…
