As a historian, I see women lose their names across centuries of public records. So, for wedding invites, I don't believe in writing out Mr. & Mrs. Bob Smith. Is the answer Mr. Bob & Mrs. Suzie Smith? Or Mrs. Suzie and Mr. Bob Smith? Or something else?
