Congrats CJ! One of the youngest players in the draft, and he's not afraid to work. Teams were running in their international directors and crosscheckers to see him this spring. It's a different skill-set, and age makes it intriguing. I'm excited to see what the future holds!

At a showcase, the 60 is usually the first evaluation exercise, and it serves a purpose. The majority of your list is crossed off because of a lack of foot speed. You are going to have to be pretty special (arm, def, hit) for someone to get their eraser out for you. U better run!

The people who think BA is not important just haven't gotten enough hits in their lives. There is no better feeling than the first 20 feet out of the batters box when you know you've just succeeded at one of the most difficult things to do in all of sports. All hits matter!

I just found my old note pad that had a summer of 2016 follow list for my area and the 2017 draft. Only one guy hasn't played in the big leagues, but he threw a gem in the National Championship game to win a National Title. Pretty solid list.

This is why pitchers have the ability to move through a system way faster than hitters. It's 60'6" everywhere. Metrics, spin, and shapes play the same at every level. If you are in Hi A, you are 2 good months away from knocking on the door to the big leagues if the #'s ✔️ out.

Great job by the catcher hustling down the line on this play. I see this play get air mailed more often than not. His hustle gives comfort to the infielder to go make a play. I love seeing players play hard and backing each other up. It's how you make players around you better!
