EU Ministers of Defence met to discuss Ukraine and 🇪🇺 defence readiness. Minister Yuriko Backes had a clear message: Luxembourg is stepping up, reaching 2% in 2025, raising military support to Ukraine this year to €120 million & strengthening the European pillar of NATO.

1/ At today’s EU Foreign Affairs Council. On Ukraine 🇺🇦: it’s vital to have an unconditional and complete ceasefire before any meaningful peace negotiations can start.

2/ Israel/Palestine: the humanitarian situation in Gaza is unacceptable. We need a ceasefire to be restored & liberation of all hostages . Israel needs to respect intl. humanitarian law. Therefore, 🇱🇺 joined 🇳🇱 demand to 🇪🇺 to evaluate the conditions of the association agreement
