#Math can be alienating for kids, but if they had more opportunities for mathematical thinking, they could have a deeper, more connected understanding of their world, says Math for Love ow.ly/fxas50uc4hE #edchat #mathchat #mtbos #elemchat

I. I just can't. The amount of ignorance and disdain in this tweet is unbearable. I challenge Michael to spend ONE DAY substituting! and "otherwise unemployable adults", ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Can we get kids hooked on puzzles at an early age? Key is getting good at them. Takes practice. Takes solving a bunch together to see how they can be solved with reasoning, not guessing. Takes well-designed puzzles at every grade level. Here's one for Gr 2+. Weirdly satisfying!
