That’s two embarrassing performances by the Carolina Hurricanes. Outclassed in every phase of the game. Tough to watch, but what’s even tougher was that they didn’t show any fight and didn’t even play pissed off.

The Indiana Pacers just went into the world’s most famous arena and just took a pair of games against the Knicks. Pacers take 2-0 lead in series. Pascal Siakam was incredible tonight, and TJ McConnell was a huge spark for Pacers late in third and early in fourth.

Rick Carlisle should have played McConnell at some point late in the fourth. Nembhard wasn’t giving the Pacers anything down the stretch tonight.

Love seeing Matt Schick hosting the NCAA baseball tourney selection show. One of the most underrated hosts out there. Does such a terrific job with whatever sport and role he is put in.

Memphis transfer PJ Haggerty has committed to Kansas State, source told The Field of 68. Haggerty got a lot less than the 4 million his dad was asking for when he went in the portal.

That’s a heck of a pickup for Jerome Tang and Kansas State. Especially at the time and the price. Haggerty was phenomenal last season for Memphis. Kansas State needed a go-to guy and just got it.

Trust me. I am not saying to always go with an agent (there are some bad ones out there), but PJ Haggerty’s dad probably should have hired a good one in this case. Overplayed his hand and wound up with in the neighborhood of $2.5 million for a team that didn’t make tourney last

Memphis offered more than what Haggerty wound up with, and he thrived last season with Penny Hardaway and the Tigers. I hope this works out for him (and he still did just fine money-wise), but sometimes the grass isn’t always greener elsewhere. Take Meechie Johnson for

FAU big man Mantas Kocanas, who redshirted last season, is headed to play for Mark Madsen at Cal, source told The Field of 68. The 6-11 freshman from Lithuania averaged 9.6 points and 4.9 boards at the FIBA U18s in 2023.

Kansas State has to be ecstatic right now. The Wildcats weren’t overly optimistic their offer was gonna get it done with Haggerty, but timing is everything.
