The weight room is biased. It only rewards those that work. And it will see right through someone who isn’t willing to do it. It’s a truth teller. You can’t fool it.

“I don’t want to lift too much & get too bulky.” 1. It takes yrs to build quality size 2. You don’t have the elite genetics for it to happen quickly 3. You’re incredibly small so shut up & lift 4. You don’t get big overnight. Your body & skill work has time to adjust 5. Stop

Nothing, NOTHING undercuts a teacher’s authority in a classroom quite like an administrator returning a kid who was removed with a sucker instead of a consequence

A younger coach asked me this week: “Coach what do you do if you have a guy who isn’t meeting the standard but is talented and needs to play” Simply responded with: “Seems like you’re already bending the standard, therefore you have no standards at all” It’s nonnegotiable.

WR’s, if you want to stand out on film, block like this 👊🏼 Lots of great route runners and fast guys, but not many can block that well 🤔

Travel ball did it again. Another family paying $3,000 to have their kid on the B Team so they can then pay a few thousand bucks a weekend to travel out of state to play teams form the very state they just came from so that “college coaches” can see their 12 year old compete.

This will probably ruffle the wrong feathers but it needs to be said: A lot of parents say they want rigorous schools but don’t want what that actually means in practice Nightly homework? Sometimes bad grades? Stress? To be told that yes your child did disrespect their teacher?

When Admin and Counselors pressure teachers to accept late work after grades are due so that students can pass, that devalues the work in the classroom by the T and ignores all of the reminders, time and assistance they gave the student and their parents.

Athletes are not bodybuilders Athletes are not powerlifters They do not compete at lifts They compete at their sport Stop training them like they ONLY need to get bigger or stronger Train them to be fast, powerful, agile & efficient in movements too

Would love to see this guy go same foot, same shoulder - but the explosiveness and snap from his hips when running through the tackle MY GOD It’s art in motion

The Costs of Leadership: Kirby Smart 1. You will make hard decisions that negatively affect people. 2. You will be disliked despite your best attempts to do the best for the most. 3. You will be misunderstood & won't have the chance to defend yourself.
