This is yet another example of federal overreach. The window is closing to regulate AI, and while the federal government continues to shirk its responsibility, New York is taking the lead in this fight.

During AI Week I spoke to News10 to call for the passage of the New York AI Act (S1169) and the Chatbot Liabilities Bill (S7263). We must prioritize increasing transparency and accountability when using AI technologies.

I’m horrified by the shooting at the Capitol Jewish Museum and my thoughts are with the victims’ families and loved ones. This kind of violence is intolerable. Antisemitism has no place in our community. We have a collective responsibility to make our Jewish neighbors safer.
