Let me elaborate -Shelter ~30% of the CPI weight -Core CPI is trending towards 3% and headline is below 3% -If they cut rates, shelter costs will still rise as low fixed rate mortgages renew -Rents will rise if demand > supply -They have a hammer & a problem that isn't a nail

Canada continues march towards potential MAJOR recession. This isn't an oil-lead recession, only affecting Alberta. This will be a NATIONAL recession, ripping the soul out of Bay Street. The WORLD is simultaneously experiencing: 1) the end of a 45 yr LT rate cycle 2) the end

The Bill has Come Due. This year and next, over $200 billion in Federal Government debt will mature. Unfortunately, it will be refinanced at significantly higher interest rates than in the past. This will mean more tax dollars spent on servicing debt.

It’s official: Canada is now an LNG-exporting nation. The Gaslog Glasgow just sailed out of Kitimat, marking the first shipment to market. A historic day for energy, trade and the communities that got us here. šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦
