It was a quite challenging process of revision, but I'm glad this article has been accepted by the International Journal of Cultural Studies. Many thanks to Issue Editor, Anna Cristina Pertierra and the two fantastic reviewers for their helpful feedback. OUT SOON!!!

Australia's News Bargaining Code has worked out as well as many who understood the problem expected, which is not at all. It was the wrong solution then and this where you end up when you do an easier thing instead of dealing with the core of the problem. abc.net.au/news/science/2…

Very pleased that @nieborg.bsky.social and myself have had our abstract accepted for #AoIR2024 at Sheffield. We will be exploring some reciprocal labour dynamics in the fast-growing Nigerian social media video industry. Looking forward to making great connections and sharing ideas!

It was great presenting our paper with @nieborg.bsky.social at AoIR ➡️ 🐘 @[email protected]'s #AOIR2024. We explored practices of reciprocal labour among Nigerian content creators in the face of opaque platform monetisation norms and the struggle towards visibility.
