Crowdfunding to buy sanitary pads for girls who cannot afford to buy them is not sustainable. The government needs to act right and drop those taxes on sanitary products.

Had no idea pads were taxed til Abena Soreno 👑 told me. Imagine my shock.

Our Mission is to impact and empower women and girls. We at Goals for Flow believe that period poverty is one of the most prevalent issues affecting women and girls in Ghana that receives little to no attention. In September 2022 1/2

we distributed sanitary care kits to two local women’s football clubs in accra; Ridge City Football Club Women and Berry Ladies Football Club in our debut project dubbed “Care club”. We loved the reception and they promised to promote good menstrual hygiene by putting the products distributing to use. 2/2

We @goalsforfloworg had a jaw dropping experience which left us dumbfounded by the shame associated with menstruation which need not exist. The stigma surrounding menstruation is harmful and unjust, it's time to put an end to it. 2/3
