I agree with everything Anish writes here, yet I still think the pros of engine use outweighs the cons (for mainstream broadcasts).

But commentators must be cognisant of this bias.

I also think this isn’t an issue at all in quieter, plan-based positions.

Most viewers don't know how to use a chess engine, never mind how to find the position in chesscom.

Also, I have the experience to know human train of thought and contextualize it. Having seen engine doesn't ruin that.

The engine is a tool for the commentator, not a replacement

Lots of interesting openings and games in the first round! Having lived through the QGD/Petroff era, I don't take the variety for granted.
