On a grey Sunday morning our Swifts played Werneth Cricket Club. Against tough bowling we struggled for consistency. Spirits and bodies were decidedly dampened! Good fielding gave us hope but it was not to be. Looking forward to the return fixture in the balmy climes of South Manchester!

After rain caused their first game of the day to be called off, our Swifts set off in the sun to St Bede's for a match against Moorside. Chasing 261, and losing captain Wilbs to injury, the Swifts took it to the final ball, safely negotiated by Emma for a 1 run victory!

Today we hosted our first Prosecco Cricket Tournament! We had teams from Elton Women, Bradshaw, Winton, Bury Felt (A&B), Mummy Sharks, Wine Wanderers and Prosecco Panthers! Congratulations to Winton who were our overall winners today, and well done to all teams! 💙🏏

WRCC Swifts travelled to Dukinfield this morning. Put into bat, a strong start helped us to 289/3. Taking to the field feeling good after coaching from injured captain Wilbs, brilliant fielding across the team meant we kept the run rate down to bring a well deserved win ❤️ 🏏
