Team MVP Adam Magpoc (San Diego State Baseball) stepped up in the ninth, bases loaded, game tied, with a chance to end Orleans’ seven-game streak. A moment too perfect to script. Here’s a look back at the magic that led Brewster there. George Lund has the story: capecodleague.com/brewster/news/…

Tried something new here with a dramatic retelling of the inning. Even with 1,100 words, it still feels like I couldn’t capture just how storybook this moment was. Baseball is awesome.

Playoffs begin today in the Cape League, and Sun Devil Baseball 's Josh Butler (Joshua Butler) gets the start for Wareham in Game 1 vs. Cotuit. Butler ranks second in the league with a 1.03 ERA and 23 strikeouts over 26.1 innings. Great to see for ASU. DevilsDigest.com

Aiva Arquette AND Brandon Compton — who the Marlins have told me they’re *very* high on due to his power and his mental makeup — are both headed to Beloit. Awesome place for them to kick things off. High-A right out of the draft… 👀

Incredible. Luke Keaschall hits .368 with five steals in his first seven MLB games, misses three months with a broken forearm, and then rips a two-run homer in his first at-bat off the injured list.

Worth noting: starting in High-A is a strong sign of how highly the Marlins view Brandon Compton. Just from his first swing, it looks like he’s made some tweaks to his stance and load—early signs of growth already showing.

First Cape League playoff game? First Cape League homer for Landon Hairston (Sun Devil Baseball / Landon Hairston). Just three games into his Cape career, he’s already 5-for-10 with four doubles and a homer 😅 DevilsDigest.com

Now 2-for-3 with a homer and 3 RBIs in Keaschall's first game off the 60-day IL, Keaschall is up to 9-for-22 with five steals and five RBIs in his young MLB career. The Twins’ No. 3 prospect is set to be a key piece after the team cleared house at the deadline.

Nothing went right for 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐬 on Tuesday in Game 1 of the playoffs. All the anticipation led to a letdown, as Harwich Mariners dominated in every facet. Now, Brewster faces elimination. My Story 🔽 capecodleague.com/brewster/news/…

ASU finishes just outside the top ten at No. 11 in 64Analytics’ transfer portal rankings — the highest-ranked team in the Big 12 by a wide margin. A strong portal haul that should set them up well for a return to the tournament next season. DevilsDigest.com
