I wrote a few things about tonight's DoraMavorMooreAwards including MAHABHARATA's five wins, the surprise 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE wins, how a Fringe play won a Dora in less than a year, and more. goaheadsumi.com/thoughts-on-th…

Happy First Day of Toronto Fringe to all who celebrate! Here, ICYMI, is my list of 10 (actually 11) artists whose Fringe shows you need to see, with a bonus list at the end of some other talented ppl and their shows. See you in line! goaheadsumi.com/10-artists-to-…

A brilliant bit of immersive journalism, as Toronto Star's Joshua Chong plays one half of a rhino in the iconic opening of Mirvish Productions's THE LION KING. The video will make you smile. thestar.com/entertainment/…

It’s Fringe season! Joshua Chong, Glenn Sumi and I will have 50+ reviews across 2025’s Toronto Fringe festival. From musicals to one-person shows, there’s forever so much to see✍️🎭 #TheaTO #FringeTO Thrilled to have my first Toronto Star bylines: thestar.com/entertainment/…

So few Toronto Fringe shows have programs. My next one does (with a QR code to the fuller version).

A show at the Aki Studio means a cocktail and the yummy beef rib special House on Parliament

Nine new #FringeTO reviews are now up Toronto Star. Really strong festival so far with tons of critic’s picks from Alexa MacKie (she/her), Glenn Sumi and me. thestar.com/entertainment/…

More #FringeTO reviews are now up Toronto Star. (Thanks to Glenn Sumi and Alexa MacKie (she/her) for holding down the fort while I was away at the Shaw Festival. More on that later!) thestar.com/entertainment/…

Batch of new Toronto Fringe reviews up at the Toronto Star Fringe hub, including 2 new Critic’s Picks shows from me! thestar.com/entertainment/…

Day four of Toronto Fringe and during a heatwave, I’ve lost count of what # show this is. Today seems to be sketch comedy day for me. And many of them are, like this one, sold out.

A mid Festival Toronto Fringe report. goaheadsumi.com/mid-festival-f…

What a day. Three Toronto Fringe reviews, geeked out talking to some world class designers, saw a very funny comedy and now ready for this, which Joshua Chong raved about.

Psst… the Toronto Star Toronto Fringe review hub has been updated with more reviews by me, Joshua Chong and Alexa MacKie (she/her) Get your tickets now! Fest ends Sunday. thestar.com/entertainment/…

Between Toronto Fringe shows I grab lunch Mill Street Brewery… Almost feels like I’m on vacay.

Love the legendary Cinecycle as a site specific Toronto Fringe venue for ZEITGEIST, which apparently lives up to its title. Two more shows this weekend, but both apparently sold out.
