Mid-May means flowers, warm weather and "Books on Break!" Thank you to Book Harvest for donating 10 brand new books to every Glenn student for them to read this summer and keep! We think these smiling faces show you how excited these 1st graders were to pick out their books!

Recycle, reuse, rethink! First graders are learning about the environment and how we can reuse and recycle items to keep our community and Earth healthy and safe. We love to see their creativity in these great projects. (And we know that stuffed animal is LOVING its new ride!)

Ms. Gomez's kindergartners got a head start on summer with an indoor picnic! Students read "Jabari Jumps" with Ms. Lyman for SEL story time because learning new things never stops. And we hope some of these friends get to jump into summer vacation - just like Jabari!

Third grade students worked together to save Pythias as a reminder that all of their hard work, struggle, persistence, failure, success, and planning had a purpose. They are ready! (We're not sure you can tell, but we think they liked this activity!)

It's EOG eve and we want you to know that tests tell some things, not everything. They don't assess how we are special, unique, trustworthy & important. We speak 2 languages, are gifted 3 point shooters & care for siblings. Our work everyday matters & you can't give that a score!

2nd graders have been working on developing their business, creating their products, and designing their shops. Today the market opened! Shoppers walked away with books, bags, butterflies, bookmarks, and so much more. Can we have one of everything?!?

Each year, teachers complete an anonymous survey either from the state or DPS. We just got our results back and 100% of Glenn teachers agreed with these statements: "I wouldn't want to work in any other school." "I am proud of my school." And many more. We're proud, too.

Ms. Gray's 2nd graders are finishing out the year with their animal research projects. We learned some awesome new facts about these incredible creatures! Don't tell anyone, but the Lion might be our favorite! Shhhh! 🦁

Everything I need to know I learned in Kindergarten. Share everything. Play fair. Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody. Be aware of wonder. LOOK! And it is still true, no matter how old you are - when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together.

Our work here is done.

Our students just finished an intensive week of EOG tests - and we couldn't be more proud of their persistence, determination, and achievement. They're proud of themselves too, and that's the most important part.

We're so proud of our impressive 5th grade scholars! They made a huge impact on our community & will leave a lasting legacy at Glenn. As they graduate, we want them to remember: Go into the world and do well. But more importantly, go into the world and do good. Congratulations!

We'd like to wish all our Glenn faculty, staff, families, partners & most importantly, STUDENTS an amazing start to the summer! Be safe, read lots of books, play outside, eat popsicles & HAVE FUN! We will miss you & we can't wait to see you in August. Have a wonderful break!
