Confusing evening. Lots of Welsh people I follow on here are posting photos of the Northern Lights and I don’t know if it’s because they’re currently in Reykjavik or Rhosneigr

Really enjoying watching Craig Bellamy’s Wales. It’s a heady mix of exciting fast attacking play joined with the nagging feeling that we’re only ever one mis-control from conceding a soft goal in horrendous self-inflicted fashion. I’m very much here for it.

Think a big part of this enjoyment stems from the noises my dad makes every time Danny Ward has the ball at his feet. He’s ’oh-ing’, ‘ah-ing’ and ‘er-ing’ as if he’s watching a public fireworks display that’s gone ahead despite spectacularly failing its risk assessment

It’s a progress isn’t it. Bellamy has found a way of playing that we’re all on board with. Next step is evolving that so that we can consolidate the great starts it’s given us in matches. It’ll come.

There were still a few WWI veterans knocking about when I was a kid, and I can imagine the reception this kind of bizarre behaviour would get. This stuff would’ve been considered incredibly crass and stupid as recently as the 80s and 90s.

Man sat opposite me on the train has gone to the shop… Jeez, the urge to put his glasses on whilst he was away and see how long it took him to notice on his return.

Slowly edging away from this platform because... well... *gestures at everything*. You can find me on Threads and BlueSky if you're into either of those kind of things. Same handle. Same shit takes.

Very sad to have to share the news of James’ passing. James was an integral part of popular STAND fanzine during our last decade or so. He was a brilliantly talented writer - annoyingly so to be quite honest - a really funny and engaging man, but above all that he was our mate.
