Pope Francis wasn’t just a religious leader — he was a global voice for those whose voice wasn't heard, climate action, refugees, and economic justice. His absence will be felt beyond the Church.

On Workers’ Day, we honour all workers whose dedication builds our country every day. As the Labour Party, we remain committed to improving workers’ lives with better wages and fair conditions. Long live the worker

The Tories crushed by Reform in the UK. Just like #Malta’s PN lost, divided, and out of touch. A once-powerful party undone by arrogance, division, and denial. Irrelevance is the price of refusing to change.

Congratulations to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and the Australian Labour Party on this milestone. A strong step forward for progress and leadership—wishing you continued success in delivering for all Australians

#Malta responded immediately to the unflagged vessel Conscience, offering firefighting aid, rescue, supplies, marine surveyor and to repair damage. Assistance, including safe disembarkation, has so far been refused by those on board. All of the above assistance still available.

Pope Leo XIV chose his name to echo Leo XIII who was a champion of social issues, author of Rerum Novarum and had social conscience. In uncertain times, the new Pope invoked a legacy of moral clarity and bold engagement.

Since Bernard Grech resigned a week ago, we've learned more about who doesn't want to lead the PN than who does. At this rate, the next leader might be chosen by process of elimination!

Net FM played Save Your Tears for Another Day right before Bernard Grech was introduced to the General Council. All things considered it is a timely soundtrack choice!

We're rolling out a door-to-door BCRS container service, making recycling more accessible than ever for senior citizens and blue badge holders. Operated by @cleanmalta, this service will go nationwide next year! Plus, maintaining 11 high-demand sites across the island.

Today we launched a pilot project on recycling of plastic bottles. Coincidentally, Adrian Delia announced he wants to run for PN leader again. Talk about commitment to recycling! ♻️

Alex Borg's leadership campaign kicked off with The Greatest Showman soundtrack. At least he's honest about what this is, performing in a circus! It’s a TikTok audition rather than politics.

Like Gonzipn's coach, Former Minister Tonio Fenech, argues euthanasia is a “cheaper solution” than palliative care. This is dishonest. Euthanasia is voluntary. The government will fully fund palliative care for all who need it. Stop framing dignity as a cost-saving measure.

PN’s leadership election is the only election where candidates aren’t allowed to debate each other. It’s like a silent movie without the comedy! Tragic to say the least. Imagine electing a leader because they didn’t say anything!

Happy 4th of July to all 🇺🇸 Sending warm wishes to the US community in #Malta. May this day remind us of the beauty of freedom and unity.

They’re furious One News didn’t report Toni Bezzina’s decision. Delia and Borg jumped in like heroes. But for years, PN and their media labelled Carmelo Abela a criminal and not a single apology ever came. Hypocrisy at its finest.

#Malta, 109 years ago today, Dom Mintoff was born. A towering figure in our country's political history. Architect of social reform, independence, freedom, neutrality and sovereignty. He left a tangible legacy.

50 years ago, Vulcan XM645 crashed in Żabbar 🇲🇹 taking six lives, five crew Royal Air Force members and one Maltese civilian. This evening’s commemoration was a poignant reminder of that day and the lasting mark it left on our history.

Today, we honour those who gave their lives for our freedom and the families who have carried that burden across generations. From our three cities to the heart of Malta, we remember their courage, their sacrifice, and their enduring legacy. 🇲🇹
