“Measuring Lower Curtis Glacier” features Mauri Pelto Ben Pelto, myself, and Tom Hammond. We and so many wonderful people on our teams over the years annually measure the changes to the glacier, which fills a cirque on Mt. Shuksan in the North Cascades, WA.

Mixed impacts.Temps overnight during heaviest rain 2-3 C at 6000', and 5-6 C at 4000 feet. Freezing level at 7000'. Hence some heavy snow high on glaciers on Mt. Baker. High avalanche activity for glaciers like Lower Curtis and Columbia Glacier. Arrows indicate avy paths.
