On Monday 10th of March we held our annual Careers and Enterprise Fair 2025, which was open to every pupil from Year 7 to Year 11. It provided students with an exciting opportunity to explore future career paths and engage with professionals from various industries.

There are now only ten weeks left until the deadline to apply for the Initial Teacher Training Programme at Wade Deacon Trust, starting in September 2025. The window for applications closes at 09:00 on 4th July.

Thank you to our Maths Department for giving up their time to take 37 Year 11 students on a 2 day residential trip to Condover Hall.  The trip delivered some high-intensity revision sessions combined with engaging outdoor activities.  #BoostYourConfidence #Motivation

Wonderful to host so many new schools from the Aspire Challenge Partners Hub today at Hillside to share best practice around reading focusing on whole school culture & strategic implementation planning. Lovely to meet new colleagues and huge thank you to staff and pupils for their involvement.

Fantastic to be back in the States presenting a paper co-authored with Anthony J. Maher at AISEP 2025 at the University of South Florida in St Petersburg, Florida. A stunning place to host a conference. Great company Andrew J. Sprake, Ph.D. and Andrew Horrell.

Trust Science Conference today, we revisited substantive & disciplinary knowledge, debated the quality of curriculum documentation, explored & shared best practice around AI to reduce workload & ended with our Science Trust Awards for 2025! Support, challenge and celebration!

There have also been some fantastic results The Grange Academy today, with one student securing an outstanding Grade 9 in six subjects. (1/n)

It has been fantastic to see students Hillside High School - Teaching & Learning celebrating their achievements today! Results in Maths and English at Hillside have risen significantly, with a nearly 10% increase in pupils achieving a strong pass (5+) in both subjects. (1/n)
