Palestinian Christians simply don't see their primary identity as only Christians, but as Palestinian Christians, equal citizens to Palestinian Muslims. We also largely oppose Islamists because they lack the notion of equality among citizens beyond religion.

Meet my youngest nephew, Khader (the one with the cross in his mouth). He is exactly 16 months old. My sister gave birth to him during the war, and he is still living under the horror of the bombardments in Gaza. Khader, like all kids in Gaza, deserves much better.

Israel bombed Gaza’s Baptist Hospital again. Many of its main buildings and facilities were destroyed. Patients died as they tried to evacuate the compound. Thousands will now be denied medical care because of this barbaric attack. I honestly don’t know what else to say.

I have been to the Ahli Baptist hospital every time I was in Gaza and to me it represented more than a hospital. Located in the center of the city, serving everyone equally, highlighting the vital role of our Christian community… to say the least it always made me proud.

Not only that thousands of Palestinian Christians are prevented from entering Jerusalem today whether from the West Bank or Gaza but even those who could enter the city (10%) are prevented from entering the Holy Sepulchre to receive Christ. Even the Vatican was barred. Not good.

Love it or hate it - on Monday the House will vote on HR 1867, “The IGO Boycott Act”, the current iteration of the “Israel Anti-Boycott Act” - to impose harsh penalties, incl fines/jail on Americans who, in line with their values/political views, boycott Israel or settlements. 1/

During the last 24 hours, hospitals in Gaza received the bodies of 125 people who were killed in fresh Israeli attacks, along with the bodies of 11 other people who were reported missing in previous attacks. Shameful, disgraceful, inhuman, and intolerable.
