Our work on perforin-2, a pore-forming protein expressed by #DendriticCells to deliver antigens into the cytosol during #CrossPresentation is now out in Science Magazine science.org/doi/10.1126/scâŠâŠ Huge amount of work from Pablo, in collaboration with Marco Laub & Patrycja Krawczyk

Just returning from the LMB-VBC Graduate Life Sciences Symposium #LMBVBC and had a splendid stay. Great meeting! Awesome to see so many old friends and making new ones. Congratulations to the organizers for setting up such a lovely meeting!

Final shout out to Giulia Manigrasso @musminusculus CoricAida Hanna Brunner Helena Bragulat Teixidor Luka VĂctor SĂĄnchez de Medina JĂșlia Portell @acatcorreia Isabella Völkl Christian Lehmann Olivia Smith ram_annn BoglĂĄrka Anna VĂĄmos for all their brilliant work at this yearâs symposium!

What an effort this was! I had immense fun on this project with Kashish Singh & Giulia Manigrasso while in the Carter Lab. I will never forget the moment when we realised Lis1 (unexpectedly) bridges the motor dynein to its activator dynactin. #teamworkmakesthedreamwork

New preprint from my superstar colleagues Kashish Singh & Clinton Lau. Glad I could make a (small) contribution!

Our work on how the lysosomal adaptor JIP3, and regulator LIS1 activate the dynein motor protein is now out in Science Magazine ! science.org/doi/10.1126/sc⊠Many thanks to our reviewers and editor for their valuable input.

AI told you so! Sami Chaaban, Giedre Ratkeviciute and I wrote a feature article in The Biochemist, focussing on usage of machine-learning in protein structure prediction: doi.org/10.1042/bio_20âŠ. We hope it's useful for those of you wondering how to use programs such as AlphaFold!

After six fantastic years at @MRC_LMB, I'm returning to Denmark to join MolekylĂŠrbiologi - Molecular Biology! Starting August 2024, we'll combine biochemistry, cryoEM, and single-molecule imaging to study how DNA damage is recognized and repaired. sites.google.com/view/alconlab

Happy to share our lab's first preprint! We found that ER tubules hitchhike on Rab6-marked vesicles. Proud of grad student Ally Langley, lab tech @AbelingSarah and undergrad Erinn Wagner CMB @ UVM UVM Larner Med

Excited to share my cryo-EM study of human DNA Polymerase Epsilon - mapping interactions with DNA and PCNA, and dissecting how a mismatched base pair is recognised and removed for high fidelity DNA replication! Massive thanks to everyone involved Yeeles Lab @MRC_LMB
