Today the Journal of Labor Economics published the paper with Mette Foged and Linea Hasager on the long run effects of integration polices on the employment probability and earnings of refugees. It is in the Special Issue in honor of David Card. journals.uchicago.edu/doi/10.1086/72…

With Alessandro Caiumi we modernized and updated a classic approach to the effects of immigrants on US national labor markets. Strong immigrant-native complementarieties result in positive wage effects and positive employment effects in 2000-2022. nber.org/papers/w32389

In this new paper with Gueyon Kim and Cassandra Merritt we develop a text-based measure of ‘’new work’ and we analyze the role of global shocks and local factors in predicting it. Local college educated supply is a key factor in stimulating new work. nber.org/papers/w32526
