Unpopular opinion: people who grow up in the UK but then move to tax-havens when they become enormously wealthy in order to avoid paying UK tax (and yet still maintain a public role in UK life) should not be honoured.

Recently instructed in the Crown Court on a weapons case in which I advised and successfully applied to vacate a guilty plea. The case was dropped after submissions on a point of law which provided a complete defence. Very happy client who avoided a mandatory minimum sentence.

Much criticism and abuse for the QC who defended Wayne Cozens. It's worth remembering he's the same barrister who bravely fought for Colin Stagg who police as good as framed for the murder of Rachel Nickell on Wimbledon Common. Years later the actual murderer was convicted.
