Gillshill's swimming team came 2nd in the Hull Schools KS2 swimming competition. Hymers College who had 8 club swimmers in their team won the event but team Gillshill were amazing 👍 well done everyone 🏊

Our year six well being champions have been collaborating with their counterparts from Gillshill Primary School to discuss their roles and completed activities so far.

The Y6 Dodge ball team did really well in all the games and finished in 5th place out of 16 schools at the tournament. Well done everyone ⚽

The year 4 Dodge ball team did amazingly well and won the tournament. After losing the opening game, Gillshill won every game beating 16 other schools to win the tournament. Fantastic effort, well done ⚽

Year 5 have been potting up their tomato plants, learning about growing their own food.

Gillshill’s Year 5&6 rugby teams performed amazingly tonight, finishing in 2nd & 3rd place in the Hull touch rugby tournament at Hull KR ground. Brilliant performance 👍

Gillshill Year 4 boys 5-a-side teams who all were outstanding last week. 2 teams qualified for the finals night finishing in 1st and 3rd place. The other Gillshill team finished in 5th place narrowly missing out on the finals night. Amazing effort by all 3 teams 👍⚽

The three Year 5 boys 5-a-side teams did amazingly well last week, with two finishing in 3rd and 5th position and one of the teams qualifying for the Hull Schools finals next month. Well done 👍

Gillshill Year 6 boys performed well in the Hull 5- a-side finals. They finished in the bronze medal position and did amazingly well in their last ever football tournament for Gillshill Primary School. Good luck at your senior schools boys ⚽👍

The Y5 boys received a silver medal in the Hull 5 a side tournament. The boys all played fantastically well losing narrowly to Hymers in the final ⚽

The Y4 girls did well in the KS2 tournament losing to Eastfields Y6 girls in the semi final ⚽

Gillshill Y6 team did well in the KS2 football 5 a side competition. They reached the finals night with an impressive display of great football. Well done girls 👍

Gillshill took 2 teams to the Humber qualifying round at Andrew Marvell and they both performed brilliantly.

Gillshill’s 3 teams in the Hull School’s 7 a side competition played with great effort and commitment. Well done!

Gillshill made it a clean sweep at Hull Cross Country Championships. In Year 3/4 (A) races, Harry and Millie won silver. In Year 5/6 (A) races, William and Isla won gold, Isabelle a well-deserved bronze. I am honoured to have such brilliant sportspeople at Gillshill. Mr Start

We have just found out that all four teams for cross country have won the team gold and will all now represent Hull in the County finals. Well done Gillshill!
