RetroDUB At some point this year, I should get back to CPS3

This month’s rotating featured game at Barcode is the popular shooter/STG/shmup, RayStorm! This arcade title was released in 1996 then ported to the PSX a year later. It has a lock-on missile gameplay that is very fun and accessible. Come by and play it for the next 30 days!

I’m happy to say that RayStorm was well loved this month! We are going to have to put some more shmups in the feature cab more often. But for the next month, we are getting ON DA GWEEEN!! Come by Barcode for some Neo Turf Masters action. I will money match anyone! LFG!!

Looking forward to the Switch 2! I like the new features of the console & controllers, the backward compatibility/upgradable versions, more mature titles from the get-go. I could freak out at the prices like everyone else, but tbh this whole timeline is expensive. Not surprised.

The next Barcode Featured Game of the Month is Ehrgeiz! (means “Ambition” in German) An obscure arena fighting game made by Square & DreamFactory featuring FF7 characters! Back when Square made more than RPG’s. This one was requested by Alex Valle ➡️⬇️↘️+👊 😆👍 “God Bless the Ring!”

I’m really impressed with how much Ehrgeiz was played. 98 credits! Next up on the Featured Game of the Month cab - Batman Forever! Originally released on the Sega STV, the arcade equivalent to the Saturn. Fun, janky, beat-em-up action. 👊💥 Come thru to Barcode!

Pleasantly surprised how well this runs on the collection. Feels like there’s a bit of run-ahead in the emulation but it’s not excessive. Valle approved! Come by Barcode and fight this man! 💪

Decided to put Cameltry into my Aero City this week. This is such a an accessible game. I don’t know why people dunk on it. It’s a novelty game that can bring in a lot of casual players as well as skilled hardcores. Fun and straightforward. My kids love it, as do I! #sega #taito

Probably the best State of Play I’ve seen. Excited about a handful of games that were shown today, which is saying a lot, I don’t get too excited about AAA anymore. But I'm digging Romeo is a Dead Man, Tokon, Sword of the Sea, Bloodstained 2, FF Tactics Remake, and Silent Hill F.

Alright fine, Capcom. My boy Alex is coming back, I guess I’ll get back to playing SF6 then. COTW has been a lot of fun tho
