"Stop looking at how the market is reacting to our new policies and instead focus on how well it's done mostly under Trump's Democratic predecessor" is an incredible new talking point.

Paul Graham (@paulg) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The one good thing about Trump's wild policy oscillations is that they enable us to distinguish between his more principled supporters and the mere bootlickers. (The latter are the ones who rationalize each new move, only to be left hanging 12 hours later.)

"Death whittled away the Leave majority by 2019...Among the ranks of the living, Brexit is seen as a clownish endeavour, even among those who supported it. Demography combined with the pointless, damaging reality of leaving the eu to kill Brexit Britain" economist.com/britain/2025/0…

"nobody in Europe is even casually implying they will invade other countries. There is no Brussels quip about turning an unwilling neighbour into “our 28th state” (on the contrary, many of the eu’s neighbours are desperate to join the club)" economist.com/europe/2025/04…

I don't believe there are £45bn of public sector savings to be found with AI. At the least, the government has much to prove go.bsky.app/redirect?u=htt…

This is an excellent account of why you should be sceptical of the government's claim that AI will save £45bn in the public sector. Worth pointing out too that other countries have been reluctant to make such specific claims.

what's crazy to me is this: if I had a visible black eye and was fully blitzed on an arnold palmer of pills and powders, I would simply decline the offer to stand behind the president on national tv for no reason. he's just too desperate for attention lol

What exactly just hit 4 russian airfields and destroyed over 40 strategic bombers? THIS 👇👇👇 13/15 inch FPV Kamikaze drones. At $430 a piece you can take out a strategic bomber worth $100 MILLION DOLLARS.

The Ukrainians have already put a Wikipedia page up regarding their strikes on Russian airfields today. Now that’s efficiency 🤣🤣🤣🤣 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation…

If you’re wondering why the SBU are being so open about the methodology behind today’s attack; imagine the impending disruption to Russian logistics as the FSB are forced to double check a few million cargo containers for Ukrainian surprises…
