This is a good point. At Real Madrid the squad planning is such that when they have a cluster of injuries in the same position they don’t end up with their best midfielder at right back plus another midfielder at center back with an academy kid partnering him

Havertz, Saka, Martinelli and Jesus all obviously injured. But Trossard’s also refereeing these days. Arsenal’s frontline is in a weird place

Complaining about Arsenal maintaining good relationships with clubs whilst citing an example where Arsenal kept a good relationship with a club is particularly stupid

Remain amazed that people think there’s a route to signing a player which doesn’t involve agreeing with the selling club a fee. If Leipzig say they don’t want to sell, aggressively bidding £80m isn’t changing that, they’re not children

It’s astounding how well coached this Arsenal team is. Mikel Arteta has worked wonders. Other clubs with injury crises are making excuses about why they’re miles off expectations. We’re still, somehow, just, right where we’d expect to be with a full squad.

For the record, it’s not hard at all. It’s the second yellow to Rice against Brighton, which is beyond a shadow of a doubt the worst decision I have ever seen a referee make on a football pitch.
