We are very proud to announce that after many many years in the make this seminal work by Dr. Philip and Dr. Kraimi is finally out! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

We show that the gut innate immune system drive maturation of behavior upon bacterial colonization, and that a specific subset of dendritic cells plays a key role in microbiota-gut-brain communication.

We believe this work aids in understanding the mechanisms underlying the development of disorders of gut-brain interaction or mental health disorders.

Using gnotobiotic and conventional mouse models, we demonstrate that proteolytic microbes that activate PAR2 expand during inflammation, thus worsening colitis through a PAR2-mediated feedback loop. (⅘)
