Cant wait to work with partners to understand how Northern Urban places will step up to this agenda...Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield and Leeds all have amazing oppurtunity around this and doing some great things already that can be made even better

Attended #GHIA_VNN event at #whitworthgallery. Was particularly impressed by GHIA online extract&value tool for mapping out residents’ valuation of local #greenspace within #GreaterManchester. Straightforward and easy for public engagement. #morethanminutes adds extra credit!

It's #HeritageTreasures day 2020! Some of our favourite heritage includes Chat Moss in Greater Manchester: a precious remnant of lowland raised bog which we're restoring with vital funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thank you The National Lottery Heritage Fund 💚

Thanks Becca Taylor, PhD for chatting to Helen Mark @BBCR4OC, & representing findings of GHIA_VNN project & the relevance to Save RyeBank Fields 🍃💚🍃. Increasingly people have to live and age in urban spaces. Large institutions have a civic responsibility to care for nature and people.

Any patch of outside space - however small - can be transformed and made wildlife-friendly. Take a look at this new guide and create your own little patch of magic. Great suggestions for people in flats as well as houses 💚💚💚

Back in 2019 we launched our value tool to collect perspectives on why parks, gardens, rivers, trees in GM matter for our wellbeing 💚We’re now looking to gather more info & see what’s changed. Can you help by providing your view? maps.humanities.manchester.ac.uk/ghia-web/value/ (best on large screen)

There is still chance to share your views about what GM’s parks, gardens and other natural spaces bring for your health and well-being @parks_great 💚🏡🌳🌻 You can also see a map of what others across GM thought too.

Today at 1.00pm two vans with four ride on grass cutters from TII Traffic cut down approx 400 sq meters of wild meadow at Nine Mile Stone Ashbourne, not one inch of it posed a road safety issue. Pure environmental vandalism. PLEASE RETWEET. Biodiversity Ireland #Ashbourne #Meath
