If you're interested in Synbio, this is a great reading list to start off. There's a lot of material here, take it slowly. You're not late. And there's room for everyone. The Codon Guide to Synthetic Biology, by Niko McCarty 🧫 readcodon.com/p/synbio-guide…

A few comments regarding #zone2 training: When I started the Zone 2 concept ~30 years ago, it was successful with elite athletes but back in the days, nobody talked about fitness, longevity, mitochondrial function or metabolic health. Back then it was more about improving

You can outperform most venture funds by buying LEGO. I analyzed the last 20 years of secondhand LEGO pricing data, and found randomly purchasing sets will match most VC's returns if you're somewhat intentional about what you buy-- you massively outperform even the best firms

New from my lab: we show that a clinical-stage oncology drug from Eli Lilly is mischaracterized, and its true anti-cancer target is EGFR. We also show how in vitro drug assays can be misleading - cellular+genetic methods are needed to determine drug MOAs.

Happy that our review is out! We go over different methods to make and modify hydrogel biomaterials geared towards various application spaces. We also provide a deep dive into (bio)chemical platforms that show the most translational promise. Hope it proves a useful read!
