Our study shows approximately 15% of waste pickers are children aged 5-12. This significantly impacts school attendance and the overall health of these children, leading to visible skin infections, diarrhoea, coughing, and runny nose. #ChildLabor #WasteManagement #Ghana

Engaging with #wastepickers uncovered that while 85.71% have physical access to #healthfacilities, 75% encounter obstacles in fully utilizing them. The study also found that 64.21% of informal workers, mainly women, face challenges accessing #educationalfacilities.
