Major messages of our recent paper: Neurodegenerative proteins affect different subregions of the hippocampus; copathology alters the pattern; The load of protein increase until a peak but in the highest stages it decreases with the loss of neurons. See: doi.org/10.1002/alz.14…

HLA locus in progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP): 1) Some HLA alleles/haplotypes are overrepresented in PSP, one of which is associated with narcolepsy. 2) Binding prediction and modelling revealed strong-binding tau peptides. Autoimmune component ? biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Agree- a lot of misleading documentation also of neuropathology data. I feel we don’t have the time and energy to comment on all articles that did not show transparently the results. Guidelines are needed how to present neuropathology results…as they started to do eg for blots

Further evidence that Progressive supranuclear palsy has prominent inflammatory associations. Indeed, this is different than that seen in Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s. Time to reconsider PSP pathogenesis? academic.oup.com/brain/advance-…
