The EU 🇪🇺 is stepping up action to support a united response at all levels as World Health Organization (WHO) declares the #mpox outbreak in Africa a health emergency of international concern. Health threats that know no borders need strong partnerships.

I have written to 🇪🇺 Health Ministers regarding plans to donate #mpox vaccines & therapeutics. ➡️🌍 solidarity is key to facing global health threats. We count on Member States to support our African partners in managing the outbreak. European Commission stands ready to coordinate.
