Gresham firefighters had a difficult fire last night. Water supply was delayed due to a lack of hydrants in the area. Crews attacked the fire but had to be called out due to no water. No injuries were reported. Fire is under investigation. 📷 @911firephotog

Your Gresham firefighters worked to put out a house fire last night. On arrival there was heavy fire from the back of the house all the way to the front door. The fire was quickly extinguished as a search confirmed nobody was inside. No injuries. Photos: Greg Muhr

GRESHAM BANS USE OF FIREWORKS EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY; USE NON-EMERGENCY LINE TO REPORT

Due to recent hot temperatures and dry conditions, Gresham City Council has joined many other cities around the region in banning the use of all fireworks, both legal and illegal, effective immediately. Gresham Police can issue a fine up to $2,500 for violations.

Use the non-emergency Police number to report fireworks at 503-823-3333. Reserve calling 911 unless there is a fire, or you think someone, or something, is in danger. Keeping our 911 system free for active fires and medical emergencies will save lives.

Gresham Fire and MCSO Deputies are responding to a fire next to I-84 in Troutdale. Please use caution with traveling in this area.

Gresham Fire crews responded on an apartment fire this morning. Initial crews arrived to a 3 story apartment complex with heavy fire. A second alarm was dispatched. Two people were injured and transported to local hospitals. This fire is under investigation.
