Microsoft just laid of 3% of it's workforce or ~7000 employees. The people who are let go off includes the Director of AI at Microsoft, Gabriela de Queiroz and also a SSE in core TypeScript team, Ron Buckton. More layoffs in big tech companies are expected this year.
