Last night, Liberal Democrats voted against cutting winter fuel payments. It's wrong to make pensioners pay for the mess left by the Conservatives. The government should reverse the Conservatives' £4 billion tax cuts for big banks and support struggling pensioners this winter.

Last year I set up a cross party group to listen to the views of local residents with disabilities on transport issues. Many problems for people accessing wheelchair accessible taxis. Good to meet the group again and introduce the new Transport Cabinet Member, Peter Candlish.

The sewer at Pembroke Park has burst again. The road is closed and there was raw sewage flowing down the road. Years of underinvestment by the privatised Southern Water with money going to shareholders & Directors instead of services sees local people inconvenienced again.

Great news that the cross party planning committee in Portsmouth backed the plans for the new swimming pools and GP surgery in Milton. All councillors from all parties backed the plans.

A disgrace that our Southern Water will go up by £222. The shareholders have looted companies and taken hundreds of millions in share dividends but continued to pump raw sewage into our harbours, rivers and sea. This will be tough for families to afford. Let down by Labour again

Today while at the hairdressers, the woman next to me was preparing for Christmas for her two foster children who are 5 & 9. They had never had a Christmas dinner before coming to her home. They are so excited. Loving foster carers are special people ❤️

Bin collection dates in Portsmouth are slightly adjusted over Christmas to give refuse collectors a break on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Dates change from tomorrow, with collections resuming as usual on 13 January.
