Ensuring migrants are well represented in the 2025 Thailand census is crucial for future migration policies. IOM Thailand is working with NSOofThailand to encourage migrant participation and provide technical assistance on migration data. IOM Data

Excellent to reaffirm commitment to SDGs with กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ | MFA of Thailand DGIO K.Pinsuda & สภาพัฒน์ K.Wanchat, co-chairs of 🇺🇳🇹🇭United Nations in Thailand สหประชาชาติในประเทศไทย's Tripartite Steering Committee. My thx to heads of United Nations agencies for delivering on Cooperation Framework 🌱🔬🙋🏻♀️🙋🏽♂️ with Gov’t of #Thailand & our key partners.

Over 1,000 trafficking victims remain stranded on the Thai/Myanmar border with little access to essentials. Since Jan 2025, IOM Thailand assisted 67 survivors forced to work in scamming centers, including 17 this week, from 🇬🇭 & 🇳🇦, with embassies, 🇹🇭 govt and NGO support.

Full house at the launch of consular guide by IOM - UN Migration 🇺🇳 and 🇹🇭 govt today to help embassies and govt agencies identify and protect trafficking victims, as numbers continue to rise. IOM Thailand has supported 700 victims since 2022. Many more await assistance. #EndTrafficking

At the Global Forum on Responsible Recruitment (GFRR), IOM moderated a discussion, with experts from Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB) Thai Union Group & Sati Foundation, on how we can advance ethical recruitment & regular migration pathways for 🇲🇲 migrant workers in 🇹🇭.

No single govt agency can manage migration alone. Ahead of the 2026 IMRF, United Nations Network on Migration 🇹🇭 & กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ | MFA of Thailand convened 30+ gov't agencies to enhance understanding of GCM and translate it into action in support of the implementation of 🇹🇭 pledges. Thank you EUinThailand for the support

Refugee & migrant arrivals from Myanmar to Thailand are unlikely to reduce soon. Supporting RTG in finding sustainable solutions is key—for both migrants & Thai communities. Grateful to join กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ | MFA of Thailand & TICA field visit in Tak with donors, UN & NGOs to discuss ways forward.

Responsible business conduct and sound migration governance are vital for ASEAN and the protection of its 7 million migrant workers. Honoured to join the regional dialogue with 🇹🇭 Minister of Justice พันตำรวจเอก ทวี สอดส่อง to support stronger policies in 🇹🇭 and across ASEAN. #MBHRAsia
